Executive Search: Our Executive Recruitment Approach

Our approach is divided into 5 major steps:

1.
Understanding the assignment, the company and its needs:
We believe this initial step is crucial in establishing a clear understanding of the assignment. At a preliminary meeting, the client's business, organizational structure, business objectives, current needs and the responsibilities of the position being recruited are thoroughly and clearly documented. In order to achieve success, comprehensive feedback is necessary to fully understand the key skills, capabilities, attitudes and personality traits required for the position being recruited.

2.
Developing the candidate profile:
After establishing the specifics of the position, a comprehensive profile of the ideal candidate is created, including the required professional experience, managerial skills, education and personal characteristics, ensuring that key competency and personality traits are consistent with the philosophy and culture of the client company. Often this issue is a major barrier when adapting new talent to any given organization’s environment.

3.
Initiating the search:
Based on Abrahams & Associates’ research capabilities, we focus our search on leading industries, or any other relevant reference point where good and competent candidates can be found. A list of sources and prospective candidates is then identified and prioritized..

4.
Screening and presentation:
During this phase, Abrahams & Associates consultants identify, contact, screen, qualify and interview prospective candidates. Personal interviews are conducted with the best candidates. Written reports, including curriculums and detailed evaluations of anywhere between two to ten clearly qualified candidates are prepared and presented to the client, normally within 30 days of the beginning of the search process. Client interviews are then scheduled with the final candidates.

5.
Selection, follow up, and transition:
Once the decision is finalized and the offer is made, detailed references are verified by our consultant. Typically, our consultant is the intermediary between the successful candidate and the client when developing the benefits package and other factors needed to solidify a firm commitment between the employer and the potential executive.
